Once again, temperatures soared to record highs this winter.  Springfield broke their record high of 58, set in 1931, by reaching 62.  Other places reached into the middle 50s, but some only reached the middle 40s.  This was because some areas had to use more sunlight to burn off the morning fog rather than heat the surface.
