Spocially Responsible Mutual Funds

While most mutual funds have few restrictions when it comes to what they can buy, there are some funds that have to follow strict guidelines when it comes to specific stocks and industries. Often referred to as "Socially responsible," these funds make investment decisions on social and moral values in addition to usual financial factors. Our expert Scott MacAdam from First Busey Trust says two to watch are Calvert Balanced Fund (CSIFX) and Domini Social Equity (DSEFX). JH 8/5
