2008 - Unseasonably warm air sat over central Illinois ahead of a cold front that pushed through. The resulting thunderstorms caused widespread wind damage. In Springfield, a school had part of a roof blown off as well as 3 barns and the grandstand being damaged at the State Fairgrounds. Heavy rain also fell on partially frozen ground, causing some flooding issues.Temperature Information
