When you go outdoors you battle a lot of things from weeds to dying plants. But one thing may be bugging while you`re working, mosquitoes! Sandy Mason has some tips to stay bug free.
Mosquito Repellants
-Use a repellant on bare skin areas
-Do not use repellants on children 2 years and younger
-Read and follow product labels carefully
-Avoid wearing perfumes
-Wear light colored, long sleeved shirts and long pants when in mosquito areas
There`s nothing worse than when you`re trying to enjoy the outdoors and mosquitoes start bugging you. But there are ways to keep the insects away from your home.
Mosquito Protection
-Change water in birdbaths every 2-3 days
-Clean gutters so water drains
-Do not let water stand in buckets or watering cans for more than 3 days
-Remove old tires, buckets and other water-holding containers
-In rain barrels or tree holes use mosquito dunks or pellets containing the bacterial agent Bti
