This Day In Weather History

2001 - Winds up to 62 mph were recorded in central Illinois as an area of low pressure moved across southeast Illinois and intensified.  The winds were only around for about a half hour, but blew down numerous large trees and power lines in Lawerence and Crawford Counties.  No injuries were reported.
