Thieves could be after your pesticides. University of Illinois Extension Educator Sandy Mason shares tips for keeping them safe and storing them properly. PESTICIDE STORAGE -Store in a cool, dry place -Lock up pesticides in sheds/garages -Write purchase date on containers -Buy a container size you can use in one season -Get accurate pest identification (don`t spray all kinds of chemicals and hope it gets rid of everything) -Use least toxic pesticides such as insecticidal soap and horticultural oil 31 OCTOBER 2003
