breaking news
As prepared by Matt Metcalf on "The Morning Show" Thanksgiving morning.
Matt`s stepmother Adrienne makes this cherry cheesecake almost every holiday. It`s easy to prepare and is usually the first dessert to "disappear" from the buffet line.
INGREDIENTS
1 9" graham cracker crumb crust
1 8 oz. pkg. softened cream cheese
1 14 oz. can sweetened, condensed milk
1/3 C. lemon juice (from concentrate)
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1 21 oz. can cherry pie filling/topping
DIRECTIONS
+Slowly beat cream cheese in mixing bowl until fluffy (you`ll want to use an electric hand mixer)
+While mixing, add condensed milk, lemon juice, and vanilla; mix until smooth
+Pour mixture into pie crust; chill for 3 hours
+Add cherry topping; chill and serve
*Do not let the cheesecake stand out for an extended period because it contains milk products.
