Allen Cucumber Jello Salad

As prepared by Gabrielle Martin on "The Morning Show" Thanksgiving morning.
This jello salad is a favorite of Gay`s father J.L. Allen. She calls it an "acquired taste." But even after his passing, it remains a family favorite.
INGREDIENTS
1 cucumber- chopped
1 red onion- chopped
1 C. chopped nuts (cook`s choice)
1 C. mayonnaise
1 C. cottage cheese
2 tblsp. lemon juice
3/4 C. hot water
1 small box lime gelatin
DIRECTIONS
+Mix cucumber, onion, nuts, mayo, cottage cheese, lemon juice in mixing bowl.
+Dissolve gelatin in hot water
+Mix everything in the mixing bowl
+Pour into serving bowl
+Chill until set (a few hours)
