September is Emergency Preparedness Month

Updated: September 1, 2011
September is Emergency Preparedness Month, and the Red Cross wants to make sure you're ready for anything.

It's reminding families to create emergency kits. They should include water, food, a flashlight, radio, and a first aid kit. Your family should also have an emergency plan. That way everyone knows where to go in case of a fire.

For a full list of what you should include in your kit, check out the Red Cross website.
