Brittany Harris

HarrisBrittany joined the WCIA-3 News Team as a Reporter for the Springfield newsroom in June 2011.

Before moving to Illinois, she was a Reporter/Anchor for WHIZ-TV in Zanesville, Ohio, where she won an Associated Press Award for Best Investigative Reporting.
Brittany was born and raised in a suburb of Cleveland, Ohio and went on to earn a degree in Broadcast Journalism from Columbia College in Chicago. While in the Windy City, she interned for the News Planning Desk at NBC-5, the Investigative Unit at CBS-2 and 103.5 KISS-FM. She was also a Production Assistant for Kurtis Productions, owned by veteran journalist Bill Kurtis.

Brittany loves her job because every day is different and exciting. She enjoys meeting new people and having the opportunity to tell their stories. When she's not working, she's exploring town, finding new restaurants, and catching up on her favorite TV shows.
