Cubs make roster moves

The Chicago Cubs activated pitcher Glendon Rusch and outfielder Freddie Bynum from the 15-day disabled list on Monday and placed pitcher Carlos Marmol on the DL with shoulder fatigue. Rusch, a left-hander who was out with a left lateral epicondylitis, is 3-8 with a 7.44 ERA in 22 appearances this season. Bynum has been out since June 25 with right shoulder inflammation. The 26- year-old has hit .260 in 41 games with Chicago this season. The 23-year-old Marmol went 5-6 with a 5.65 earned run average in 15 games with the Cubs this season, including 13 starts.
