Substitute Teachers
Updated: July 6, 2011
The first of three recruitment fairs kicked off this morning.
It is the first time the district has taken this approach.
Administrators say last year they had over a hundred substitute teachers on stand-by, but many of them weren't reliable.
Now they are opening up the pool and doing interviews on the spot.
Administrators say it is a great way for someone to make money with a flexible schedule.
It is especially great for college grads who cannot find work.
To be qualified, you must have a bachelor's degree.
Teaching certification is preferred, but not necessary.
Two more recruitment fairs are scheduled for later this month. One will be Monday, July 11th from 1-4pm and another will be Tuesday, July 12th from 5-7pm.
You can find more information on the school district's website.
