Water Conservation Efforts Lifted in Jacksonville

Updated: July 4, 2011

The boil alert is still in effect, but the water conservation efforts have been lifted.

The mayor says they are not allowing people to water their yards or fill their pools just yet. All other day to day activities can resume.

The plant is still not completely functional. If it is is unable to keep up with the demand, the conservation efforts will be issued once again.

Boil order is still in effect for:

  • City of Jacksonville
  • Scott Morgan Green (SMG) Water Cooperative
  • Murrayville Woodson Water Commission
  • Alexander Rural Water District
