Illini women lose to Wisconsin, drop seventh game in a row

Updated: January 7, 2009
Lori Bjork had a career-high 27 points, but it`s in a losing cause as the Illinois women`s basketball team loses to Wisconsin, 66-61, Thursday night at the Assembly Hall. The Illini started slow and trailed by as many as 13 in the first half. But Illinois turned a nine-point game at the break into a three-point contest mid-way through the second half, but could never overtake Wisconsin. Erin Wigley added 17-points and was the only other Illini player in double-figures. Illinois has lost seven straight games and travels to Penn State on Sunday.
