How to insulate your attic using blown-in cellulose insulation:
1.    Rent an insulation machine from your local home center.
2.    If you don’t have a floor down in your attic, lay a board down across the ceiling joist.
3.    Do not blow insulation into the eves that overhang your house (this keeps the attic from ventilating).
4.    You can install baffles (found at your local home center).
o    Place the baffles so that you’re covering up the overhang.
o    Use a staple gun to attach them to the ceiling.
5.    Now you can start blowing in the insulation.
o    Wear a breathing mask.
o    Wear eye goggles to protect your eyes.
6.    Start with the furthest distance away from you and then work it toward yourself.
Well, that does it for insulating this attic. REMEMBER: If you live in the South, make sure that you don’t blow any insulation into the air-conditioning unit itself or even into the condensation drip pan.
