Train Hits Sangamon County Man

The Sangamon County Sheriff says a Springfield man was struck by a train early this morning. It happened around 3 a.m. at the train crossing near Iles Avenue and Third Street. Ralph Singer, 44, was running, trying to beat the train when it clipped
