U OF I - Investigators are checking to see if a mugging from May is related to others in the last couple of weeks. In Crime Watch tonight, police are asking for your help. A student was walking on the Quad May 15th, when three men approached him. One had a knife and told the student to walk with him. The two went between Noyes Lab and the Chemistry Annex building. The man took his money and backpack. The student's cell phone, books and student I-D were inside. Tom Geis with the U of I Police Department says, "The one suspect did all the talking. He got the items from the victim, he then met up with the other two suspects and walked north. They told the victim to walk south." The man with the knife is described as black, in his late 20's, 5-feet 10-inches tall, thin build with black hair, brown eyes and a mustache. He was wearing a hooded sweatshirt. The other two are also described as black men. Both had masks on, one was 5-feet 7-inches tall with a medium build. The other: 6-feet 2-inches tall and skinny. All of them were wearing dark clothes.
