CHAMPAIGN - A simple mistake put one woman's entire checking account in jeopardy. In Crime Watch tonight, police need your help to find the man who used her ATM card. Investigators say, the woman had gone to a store in Champaign and in a split-second, someone stole her wallet from the shopping cart. Then later, used her ATM card to get money from her bank account. That part was easy according to police. Patrick Simons with the Champaign Police Department says, "Because it was an ATM card, she had her pin number in with her wallet, that inadvisable. You shouldn't keep your pin anywhere near your ATM card." A picture was taken of the man who used her card at an ATM machine, but investigators haven't released it yet. He's described as a black man, between 20-30 years old, 6-feet tall and 170 pounds. He was wearing a white ball cap, white polo shirt with dark, long denim shorts.
