5/20-Nevolo, Kalmanovich win first round NCAA Singles matches

Illinois freshman Dennis Nevolo defeated Virginia Tech Junior Yoann Re 6-3, 6-0 to advance to the 2nd round of the NCAA Mens Singles Tennis Tournament. Nevolo, ranked 39th, had no problem with the more experience Re, ranked 55th. Nevolo advances to the 2nd round, Nevolo will face Georgias Nate Schnugg in the 2nd round. Schnugg defeated Dukes Reid Carleton in his first round match. Roy Kalmanovich also won in straight sets, defeating Boise States Clancy Shields.
