A Champaign County family hopes to preserve the memory of Chief Illiniwek with orange and blue stones.. They created a 17-foot chief logo in their backyard in Ivesdale. Ivan Dozier says he asked his kids what theyd like to put in their yard, and this is what they came up with. He has Cherokee ancestry, so he says some of his friends may not be happy about the design. He says he likes the symbol. It took the Doziers about three months to plan the rock creation. They say if youre flying south out of Willard, look down, and youll see it..
