The Sangamon County Sheriff's Department is investigating the scene of dead body.
Deputies say it happened around 7 tonight (Friday) At North 16th and Warren Streets ... In a wooded area near the railroad tracks.
They believe he's a 47-year old homeless man ... His name is not being released till family are notified.
The sheriff's department says he was found by someone looking for their cat. Since he was wearing a coat and his body was decomposed ... They think he's been there for a while.
Back in April another homeless man was found dead in the same area.
They don't believe it was foul play.
An autopsy still needs to be done to determine his cause of death.
