Final Goodbyes to Fallen Hero

lucasFriends and family lined up Thursday to say goodbye to a local soldier killed while fighting in Iraq. 25-year-old Lucas Starcevich died in combat last week along with ten other soldiers. American flags lined the entrance of his visitation.. On Friday, his funeral procession will travel from Savoy to Springfield where he'll be buried at Camp Butler National Cemetary. Community members are invited to head out Friday at 10:45 a.m. to show their support as his funeral procession goes by. It will start at the funeral home in Savoy then go down Prospect and Mattis to I-72.
