CHAMPAIGN, Ill. -- Chester Frazier and Dominique Keller each scored 14 points to lead Illinois to a 68-58 win over Hawaii on Monday night.
Fraziers tally included four 3-pointers in the first half for Illinois (8-1), which led 39-26 at halftime. Mike Davis added 10 points for the Illini.
After forcing a season-high 27 turnovers on Saturday against Georgia, Illinois defense tried for an encore against Hawaii (3-3). The Illini scored 28 points off of 22 turnovers by the Rainbow Warriors to overcome a sluggish start and beat Hawaii for the second season in a row.
Illinois held Hawaii without a field goal for 5:31 in the second half to build its lead to 17 points.
Petras Balocka led Hawaii with 21 points. Roderick Flemings added 14 points for the Rainbow Warriors.
