DANVILLE -- The mayor thinks his city is paying too much at the pump. Scott Eisenhauer says the city's gas is 20-cents higher than surrounding communities. He's tracking prices from the past three months to give to the attorney general.

Eisenhauer and other officials hope to prove a case of price-fixing in the community. Some people say the mayor has their full support.

"It'd be nice to see the price of gas here in town go down. You go other places you see 20-cents difference in prices. There seems to be a reason, but what? No one knows," Jeff Watson said.

Mayor Eisenhauer decided to get the attorney general involved after getting numerous complaints about high prices. The average per gallon in Danville Thursday was $3.73.
