DECATUR -- A man faces murder charges in the death of Nate Johnson. James Chatman, 45, was in court Wednesday. He's charged with three counts of first degree murder.

Police say 20-year old Johnson was shot and killed in the 1100-block of North College Street March 10. Chatman has already served five prison terms.

If convicted, he faces a minimum 45 years in prison. He's being held on $5 million bond.

Chatman's brother, Anthony, was initially charged in the murder as well. He was released from jail Wednesday morning.
