SPRINGFIELD -- Crime Stoppers is upping its reward in hopes of finding that fake cop. There have been at least three reports of a man trying to pull over woman.

Police recently released two sketches of what the suspect may look like based on descriptions from two victims. The man was said to be driving a white car with flashing lights.

Now Crime Stoppers in Sangamon County is offering at least $750 for tips that lead to an arrest. If you know anything about this case, call Sangamon Menard County Crime Stoppers at 788-8427. Or text: Tip672 plus your information and send it to CRIMES. Or log on.

Investigators remind you to call 911 if you're being pulled over and you're not sure it's the real thing. They say you can also turn on your flashers and drive to a well-lit area before stopping.
