CHAMPAIGN -- More than a hundred people came out this weekend to bowl for a good cause. It was for the annual Bowl For Kids' Sake.

It's a fundraiser for Big Brother Big Sisters. Each bowler had to pay $100 to play. Some bigs and littles even got in on the action. Joe Wiard said he was raised by a single mother so he enjoys being a role model for children now.

"Now that I'm older, it would be really nice to be able to spend time with a kid who's in the same situation as I was and to have a male role model in his life or somebody to hang out with besides his mom," said Wiard.

Star Wars characters made an appearance at the alley this weekend. They stopped to take pictures with the people there. Organizers said they had a solid turnout. Volunteers raised about $65,000 in three days.
