Suspects sought in attempted armed robbery

SPRINGFIELD -- Police are investigating an attempted armed robbery. It happened about 1:20 am, Monday, February 18, at Soccer World in the 2700-block of West Lawrence.
The victim was leaving the business when he was approached by two suspects. One grabbed him from behind and held a sharp object against his neck while the other suspect displayed a "boxy, black" handgun. The suspects demanded money and beat the victim because he didn't have any.
The suspect with the gun is described as a black man, 5'10", with a thin build, wearing a dark-hooded jacket. His face was partially covered. There's no description of the suspect who grabbed the victim from behind.
