SPRINGFIELD -- A federal appeals court is shutting down Attorney General Lisa Madigan's attempt to block concealed-carry in Illinois. Late last year, a federal judge ruled a ban is unconstitutional and gave lawmakers until June to put a law on the books.

The court rejected Madigan's argument that it was unfair to force Illinois to comply. She could still appeal to the U.S. Supreme Court.
