No Illinois player on this year's roster has won a game at the United Center in Chicago. The Illini have lost three straight games at the U-C. John Groce said Thursday the game is big from a recruiting and fundraiser perspective because many of Illinois' big doners and recruits are based in the Windy City. But about half of the Illinois roster is from Chicago and its surrounding areas. And the team would love to get a victory in front of the hometown fans. Illinois' last victory came in December 2008 against Georgia.
