SPRINGFIELD -- The state is cracking down on underage drinking over the holidays.

Police will be on the look out for anyone using fake ID's in bars. If you're caught using one, you could lose your driver's license, and have to pay some pretty big fines and do some jail time.

Secretary of State Jesse White is behind the statewide initiative. He wants people to know there are serious consequences. He hopes this will catch bar owners attention too. He says they also need to be on the look out for underage drinking.
