CHAMPAIGN -- Children in Champaign and Urbana are collecting pajamas for people in need.

Tonia Kirby's second grade class at Robeson Elementary is in charge of counting donations every day. They've been collecting them since before Thanksgiving. It's a competition between Robeson and Leal Elementary. Leal is in the Urbana School District.

The school that collects the most donations wins. The supervising teacher at the losing school has to wear the winning school's shirt on Pajama Day later this year. They're calling it the shirt of shame. Robeson had collected 166 pairs of pajamas as of Tuesday and Leal is getting close to 200.

If you want to donate to the competition, you can drop pajamas off at either of the elementary schools this week.
