Babers continues to roll in the honors

EIU coach Dino Babers received coach of the year honors in his region from the American Football Coaches Association.

The honor comes from the group who also presented awards to Kevin Sumlin, Brian Kelly and Bill Snyder. Babers' award is for region 3 in the Football Championship Subdivision

In Babers' first season the Panthers went 7-5 after posting back to back 2-9 seasons. EIU also made the FCS playoffs before losing to South Dakota State in the first round.

Babers was also named OVC Coach of the Year and is a finalist for FCS Coach of the Year.
