Lower property values could cut city budgets

DANVILLE -- The city budget could be looking at cuts. It's because property values for Vermilion County are expected to drop about 10% this year.
It means cities and towns won't see as much revenue. City leaders aren't sure if they'll raise property taxes to compensate. Cuts to jobs and services could be considered before a tax hike.
