Blizzard kills two in Vermilion County

Updated: February 15, 2007
This week’s blizzard was a nuisance for most, but proved to be deadly for two Vermilion County families. 71-year-old Duane Lutchka of Westville and 47-year old Brian Pirie of Catlin died this week. They both had a heart attack while trying to clear snow from their homes. Emergency responders say the ages of these two men show the cold can take its toll on anyone young or old.
