SHELBYVILLE -- A historical courthouse is getting a makeover. The courthouse was built back in the 1880's and is need of some work today.

A new heating and cooling system is being put in along with a new entrance and roof. Project coordinators say the repairs won't interfere with the history inside, like paintings that are stored upstairs. One shows Abraham Lincoln when he was in Shelbyville for a debate with Anthony Thornton.

The upgrades will cost about $1,000,000. They hope to have them finished by winter.
