Illini “Think Pink” for Breast Cancer

Updated: January 28, 2007
breastcancer2007-01-28-1170039868.jpgIt was a day devoted to breast cancer awareness Sunday, as Assembly Hall was painted pink. Fans were encouraged to join coaches and staff in wearing the trademark color. Ribbons were handed out at the door for anyone wanting them. It's all part of the women's basketball coaches associations effort to show support for those battling the disease. Most fans say it's an idea they can easily get behind. The Illini weren't alone in thinking pink women's teams all across the country sported the color to drum up support.
