Chicago, IL (Sports Network) - Robbie Gould matched a career-long with a 49- yard field goal in overtime to propel the Chicago Bears past the Seattle Seahawks, 27-24, at Soldier Field in an NFC Divisional Playoff tilt.
Rex Grossman completed 21-of-38 passes for 282 yards with a touchdown and an interception while Thomas Jones ran the ball 21 times for 66 yards and a pair of touchdowns for the Bears (14-3), who snapped a three-game postseason losing streak, dating back to 1994.
Bernard Berrian made five catches for 105 yards with a score and Rashied Davis hauled in four passes for 84 yards for Chicago, which will host the New Orleans Saints in the NFC Championship game next Sunday at 3:00 p.m. (et).
Matt Hasselbeck was 18-of-33 for 195 yards with a TD and a pick while Shaun Alexander ran for 108 yards on 26 carries with two touchdowns for the Seahawks (10-8), who were 0-for-7 in converting third downs of three yards or less.
Darrell Jackson caught four passes for 49 yards and Deion Branch made four catches for 48 yards for Seattle, which gained 306 yards of total offense.
