CHAMPAIGN - For the second time in just a few months, someone vandalized cars at a north side apartment complex. In Crime Watch tonight, the most recent attack involved slashing tires on almost a dozen vehicles. It happened at the Town Center Apartments at 2401 North Neil Street. Overnight, Sunday April 6th, someone wandered through the parking lot cutting tires. Nine cars were hit, police believe it was a random act of violence. David Griffet from the Champaign Police Department says, "Other than the one that had four ties slashed, the other ones were between two different points at the complex. They could have easily started out at one end and gone to the other end." Griffet adds, kids could be responsible for the damage, maybe someone who just got a new knife.
