CHAMPAIGN - Illinois rolled to their third straight win 79-59 over Purdue on Wednesday at Assembly Hall.  Illinois jumped out to a big lead and never looked back as they beat Purdue for the first time in nine meetings.  Illinois used a balanced attack to handle the Boilers.  Joseph Bertrand scored 9 points and pulled down a game-high 12 rebounds.  DJ Richardson scored a game-high 18 points, while Tracy Abrams added 13.

The Assembly Hall crowd was sent into a frenzy in the second half when Purdue head coach Matt Painter was issued back-to-back technical fouls and ejected.

Illinois (18-8, 5-7) will hit the road Sunday when they visit Northwestern.
