CHAMPAIGN - Illinois trailed by 15 points at halftime and never recovered as they lost to Northwestern 68-54 Thursday night at Assembly Hall.  The shooting woes continued for Illinois.  They shot just 3-for-20 (15%) from 3-PT range, while the Wildcats made 50% of their long-range attempts.

Brandon Paul led the way for Illinois (14-5, 1-4) with a game-high 21 points - a much-needed effort after his dismal game at Wisconsin, but nobody else on the team scored more than 10 points.

Illinois is off for the weekend before they travel to Nebraska Tuesday night to take on the Huskers.
