CHAMPAIGN - Tonight was a special night for former Illini Mannie Jackson.  His banner was raised to the rafters at Assembly Hall during a ceremony at halftime.

Jackson was the first African-American letterwinner at Illinois.  He went on to play for the Harlem Globetrotters before buying the Globetrotters in 1993.
