CHAMPAIGN - Tim Beckman signed five JUCO players Wednesday and one high school player who plans to enroll early.  It's the first piece of his 2013 recruiting class, which is ranked 24th best in the country according to Rivals.com.

Beckman's class features 26 commitments, including a pair of four-star recruits: Bolingbrook QB Aaron Bailey and Hilliard (OH) ATH Caleb Day.

Rivals.com ranks Illinois' 2013 behind only two others, Michigan and Ohio State, among schools in the Big Ten.
