Report: Spence to declare for NFL draft

CHAMPAIGN - Illinois defensive tackle Akeem Spence will declare for the NFL draft, according to multiple reports. Spence just finished his junior season, so we would leave for the NFL with one season of eligibility remaining. The 6' 1'' 305 lb. defensive lineman was named honorable mention All-Big Ten last season. He had 72 total tackles, 7 tackles-for-loss and a forced fumble.
