CHAMPAIGN - Nnanna Egwu took a big step forward for Illinois Sunday against Eastern Kentucky, and they're going to need him to help bolster the front court as the Orange and Blue get ready for the toughest part of their schedule.

Foul trouble has made it tough for the sophomore to stay on the floor, but Sunday Egwu played 28 minutes.  He scored seven points, blocked four shots, and only committed one foul.
