CHAMPAIGN - Centennial PF Michael Finke verbally committed to John Groce and the Fighting Illini while on an unofficial visit to the campus on Wednesday. Finke becomes Groce's first commitment for the 2014 class.

The junior announced the decision on his Twitter page today writing, "OUR STATE OUR TEAM! Proud to call myself part of the #ILLINI."

Finke is one of the top recruits in the state for the class of 2014; he's rated a three-star recruit by Rivals.com.  He chose Illinois over Wisconsin, Iowa, Purdue, and Kansas State.
