Buchanan, Thornton named 2nd team All-Big Ten

CHAMPAIGN - The Big Ten Conference announced its postseason football awards tonight, and the Illini (2-10) were shut out of the first team honors.

Offensive lineman Hugh Thornton and defensive end Michael Buchanan were named second team All-Big Ten by the league's coaches.  Linebacker Jonathan Brown, defensive tackle Akeem Spence, cornerback Terry Hawthorne, and center Graham Pocic earned honorable mention.
