Fatal train accident investigated

ALTAMONT -- Police are looking at surveillance video to investigate a fatal train accident. It happened Saturday afternoon in Effingham County.

The coroner says 17-year old Cain Alex Daugherty was walking along the tracks near 450th Street when he was hit. He died at the scene.

The conductor told the coroner he blew the whistle many times but Daugherty didn't move. The coroner says Daugherty may have been wearing ear buds and listening to music.
