1st year coach John Groce will debut his Illini team in Monday's Orange and Blue scrimmage. Groce and his staff have been working with the team to develop a new, up-tempo system.

The coaching staff says it will experiment with different lineups during the scrimmage and will also see who keeps the tempo up, which will help decide the starting lineups later in the pre-season.. Groce says these first two weeks of practice are key for a good start to the regular season.
