SPRINGFIELD - Illinois basketball coach John Groce offered a scholarship to Springfield (Lanphier) point guard Larry Austin, Jr. Wednesday night.  Austin had previously held an offer from Illinois under then-head coach Bruce Weber, but that offer had since been taken off the table.

Groce traveled to Springfield Tuesday to watch Austin's open gym.
